The bachelor thesis deals with the datalogger development for monitoring roof constructions ambients of historical buildings. The device is made of microcontroller ATmega328P and is using simple principles of environment monitoring. The device saves measured data to SD card from air temperature, air humidity, light intensity, wood moisture and air flow sensors. In conclusion of the thesis are then succesfully tested and summarized the properties of designed datalogger’s sensors.
Hodnocení přesnosti měření vlhkosti dřeva smrku při použití elektrického odporového vlhkoměru
Ondráček, Michal
This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the accuracy of spruce wood moisture measurement using an electrical resistance hygrometer. In the theoretical part, the basic properties of wood and its influence on moisture measurement are described. Furthermore, the different methods of measuring wood moisture are described and, above all, the principle of measurement using an electrical resistance hygrometer is discussed in detail. In the practical part, the moisture content of spruce wood was measured with three electric resistance moisture meters and the results were then compared with a reference gravimetric measurement method. Moisture meter No. 1 showed the most accurate results in determining the moisture content, but even it did not come close to the actual moisture content determined by gravimetry. Moisture meters 2 and 3 obtained identical measurements, but the measured moisture content differed significantly from the actual moisture content of the wood determined gravimetrically. These two hygrometers showed worse results than hygrometer No 1.
Stanovení pružnostních a pevnostních charakteristik dřeva v čerstvém stavu
Ressler, Ondřej
The topic of this bachelor's thesis was the determination of the mechanical properties of wood in its fresh state. The investigated mechanical properties of the wood were investigated on summer oak wood (Quercus robur L.). For the experiments, three oak trunks were secured from which samples were made. Determination of elasticity and strength characteristics was determined by a destructive method with the help of a universal ZWICK Z050 machine. Destructive methods included tests in compression, tension and bending. Physical properties (density and moisture), strength limits and elastic moduli were determined for these tests. The investigated mechanical properties of oak were determined for two moisture conditions. It has been verified by statistical tests that heartwood has greater strength than sapwood. As a result, a correlation between moisture content and ultimate strength and flexural modulus of in bending.

The paper Survey of wooden structures of the chapel in Matějov deals with construction technical survey of the chapel Navštívení Panny Marie. The survey includes description of current technical condition of the chapels construction. It can be used for a possible future renovation of the chapel. The beginning of the paper sets and explains the description of the methodology of construction technical survey. In the following part the history of Matějov, where the chapel is located, and identification of the building is described. The paper continues with part focusing on the urban and architectural design of building and the description of the specific design elements. The description includes information of discovered defects. Photo documentation is also included and focused on view sides, design elements and founded defects. The paper concludes that the chapel is generally in a good condition with several minor defects, which is understandable for such an old building.
Influence of Wood Density on Measured Values when Working with a Kučera's Drill
Černý, Pavel
Diagnostics of wooden structures is still a widely used field in construction. The measured values during testing in wood diagnostics are always influenced by the properties of the wood. One of the most important roles in wood diagnostics is moisture, which affects a wide range of physical and mechanical properties. This was not the case when testing with the Kučera`s drill, which is standardly used for masonry diagnostics. For research purposes, the drill had to be transformed for use on wooden structures. The transformation was performed on the basis of a special reduction.
